STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects.
Cute Kawaii Creations -Learn to draw adorable Kawaii animals & characters, then make them into playful creations with paper, felt, fabric and wood. Students will create Teacup Pets Drawing/Collage, Adorable Awards Badges, Draw-Then-Sew Cute Kawaii Stuffies, and so much more. Teaching Artist: Eileen Plichta
Painting to Music -CAMPers get to explore methods of art making, music making, and the world where they overlap. Students will use music as their inspiration in two-dimensional medium, and will use art techniques in order to produce something that ends up musical. This involves creating in response to music; through collage, painting and drawing as result of movement and emotion. In turn, we will write and move to music to create art, and even make music! Teaching Artist: Taylor Gersbach
We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6:00pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.
