  • 2420 Channing Way Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects.

CARDBOARD CITY! Create the best place you can imagine, using cardboard, paper tape and an assortment of recyclable materials. Design a restaurant, school, playground, tower, railroad station - possibilities unlimited. We will draw our ideas, build them, decorate and arrange them as we choose. Teaching Artist: Judith Schonebaum

Build a Circus - Have you ever dreamed of joining the circus? In Build a Circus Week, campers use their imagination to create a circus of their own. Using crafts, recycled materials, theatre games and a little clown magic; we will transform our camp tent into our own little big top. Teaching Artist: Douglas McNeely

Underwater World - Let’s have fun creating a place where fish, octopi, jellyfish, and sea creatures never seen before populate a beautiful and mysterious watery world - using materials such as tissue paper, cardboard, construction paper, bubblewrap, etc. Teaching Artist: Marti Cate

Insectopedia - Using a variety of every-day materials and our endless imaginations, we will build new universes such as Insect-Opia, where campers create spiders, ladybugs, butterflies, and all-things-Insect as well as the amazing environment that they inhabit. And what other worlds might we manifest? Teaching Artist: Marti Cate
