  • 2420 Channing Way Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects.

Puppet Making - There are so many ways to make puppets -from a simple sock all the way to a complex marionette. We’ll look at all the ways and then create our own puppets with fabric, wood and just about anything else we can get our hands on. We’ll use our characters to create a simple play at the end of the week. Artist: Taylor Gersbach

Comics - Come join us in an exploration of comics creation with an emphasis on experimentation. We will be creating our own comics using a variety of techniques including collage, painting, xerox, tracing, photo techniques and more. At the end everyone will walk away with their own unique comic. Teaching Artist: Joel Skavdahl

We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6:00pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.

$480 per week
