Week of August 4th -Mixed Media Animals, Magic Around The House, and Shadow Puppets

STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects. CAMPers will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fun activities, including making Rainbow Loom creations, friendship bracelets, playing board games, dodgeball, banana tag, and more!

We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6:00pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.

Mixed Media Animals -In this class we will learn how to draw animals found in nature as well as your backyard and have fun fusing these two subjects together to create our original art! We will use a variety of mixed media such as watercolor, ink pens, markers, colored pencil, stamps, and basically anything we want to help bring our creations alive!

Magic-Around-The-House -Unleash your inner magician in this exciting class! We'll discover the secrets of amazing magic tricks that can be performed with ordinary household items. Young magicians will learn easy-to-master sleight-of-hand tricks, mind-blowing illusions, and captivating card tricks using everyday objects.

Shadow Stories & Sonic Creatures -In this class students will create their own shadow puppets inspired by Indonesian traditions, design original characters, and bring them to life with expressive voices and funny stories. Campers will also craft simple musical instruments, like balloon bassoons, and explore rhythm and sound using unique, homemade instruments provided by the teacher. This hands-on class encourages creativity, storytelling, and joyful performance through visual art, puppetry, and sound.
