Design and make your own beautiful glass mosaics! Make your own or choose a traditional pattern, and learn about the elements of a strong design. Our mosaic camp will leave each student with a new found passion for the world of mosaics. We will explore all about the four components of a mosaic. Using glass each student will create a one of a kind mosaic masterpiece to hang on their wall at home. Campers will start with a small project to learn the techniques and then move on to a larger, more complex design of their own creation. If you haven’t tried Glass Mosaics before this is a great beginning, and if you have, this is a chance to go deeper and work on more ambitious projects and refine your skills. Campers will learn all they need to make a pattern, cut and grind beautiful, colored glass, solder, and frame up a finished piece. Campers will start with a small project to learn the techniques and then move on to a larger, more complex design of their own creation. Always popular at CAMP 510, Stained Glass is an age-old technique that teachers campers about art and design as well as craftsmanship. If you haven’t tried Stained Glass before this is a great beginning, and if you have, this is a chance to go deeper and work on more ambitious projects and refine your skills. Ignite your child's imagination at our stop motion animation summer camp! Middle schoolers will develop essential 21st-century skills like creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while crafting their own unique animated films. Using cameras (even our phones!), some clay, and some paper cutouts, we’ll make several short movies as a class and screen them for the whole camp at the end of the summer.

Every day we’ll introduce a brand new medium, from photosensitive paper to wire to electrically-conductive clay. Using all kinds of papers - from everyday use to handmade, painted, rice paper, magazines, etc. to creatively cover already existing items, such as trays, boxes, flower pots, baskets, jars, vases, picture frames, or anything else you feel like re-designing.
