Week of June 1st -Circus Skills, Mark Building Drawing, Creative Collage and more!

STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects. CAMPers will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fun activities, including making Rainbow Loom creations, friendship bracelets, playing board games, dodgeball, banana tag, and more!

Circus Skills - This fun and exciting camp offers children the opportunity to learn a variety of circus skills that test and improve our balance, coordination, and determination. Curriculum includes juggling, object balancing, unicycling, stilts, rolla bolla, spinning plates, diabolo and more.

Mark Building Drawing -Dive into the exciting world of line, shape, and texture! This class is all about exploring how simple marks—from zig-zags and swirls to dots and dashes—can be pieced together to create amazing pictures. Campers will learn fun, easy techniques to turn basic shapes into imaginative landscapes, and creative characters. If you love doodling and seeing where your pen takes you, this is the perfect class to build your drawing toolkit and boost your creative confidence!

Creative Collage -Using all kinds of papers - from everyday use to handmade, painted, rice paper, magazines, etc. to creatively cover already existing items, such as trays, boxes, flower pots, baskets, jars, vases, picture frames, or anything else you feel like re-designing. With imagination and creativity, we’ll make things new again!

$500 per week

We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6:00pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.

Stitch Magic! -Step into a world where thread and yarn become your paintbrush! In Stitch Magic & Fiber Fun, we will learn how to weave, wrap, and stitch beautiful designs. Campers will master basic, easy-to-learn embroidery stitches (like the running stitch and the French knot) to create colorful patches, wearable art, and mini wall hangings. We'll explore texture, color mixing, and pattern design using soft fibers. This hands-on class is perfect for anyone who loves crafts and wants to create unique, fuzzy masterpieces to take home!

Comics - Come join us in an exploration of comics creation with an emphasis on experimentation. We will be creating our own comics using a variety of techniques including collage, painting, xerox, tracing, photo techniques and more. At the end everyone will walk away with their own unique comic.

Circus and Creative Cardboard - Learn a variety of circus skills that test and improve our balance, coordination, and determination. In this exciting class, young builders will embark on a thrilling journey of cardboard construction. Clown Academy! -Step right up and discover the delightful, silly, and wonderful world of clowning. Our Clown Academy is the perfect place for your child to unleash their inner comedian and learn the timeless art of making people laugh. Get ready to don a red nose, learn some classic gags, and find your unique funny bone. This class is all about fun, laughter, and discovering the joy of performance!

Bistro 510 -A cooking class with summer camp flair. We’ll create foods as a group that broaden kids’ horizons but also don’t require a kitchen. Each class will start with some sort of cultural introduction to the history of the food we’re making. Some potential foods could include hummus, avocado chocolate mousse, or smoothies made with unconventional fruits.

Fashion Fusion: Fabric Painting & Design Studio -Unleash your inner fashion artist and turn everyday items into extraordinary art! This class is a high-energy design studio where we focus on textile art and fabric decoration. We'll cover everything you need to know to make your creations permanent and wearable, including methods for using fabric markers, paints, and embellishments. By the end of the class, you'll walk away with a personalized t-shirt, a custom-designed tote bag, and other fabulous accessories, ready to wear your art with pride!

Puppet Making and Sonic Landscapes -In this captivating class, young artists will journey through the fascinating world of puppetry! We'll delve into the rich history of puppetry, exploring different types of puppets from around the globe, including shadow puppets from Indonesia, Bunraku puppets from Japan, and the classic sock puppet. Then, it's time to get creative! Students will learn to design and craft their own unique cast of puppet characters using a variety of materials, such as colorful socks, gloves, strings, rods, and intriguing shadows.

Mixed Media Madness -Get ready for a thrilling artistic adventure! In this exciting camp, young artists will discover the magic of mixed media, where art becomes a playful pompom potion of creativity. Origami - In this class we will learn the basic folds of Origami and throughout the week will begin to advance our knowledge and folding skills to create models such as animals, geometric shapes, modulars, flowers, and even mythological creatures!

Cute Kawaii Creations -Learn to draw adorable Kawaii animals & characters, then make them into playful creations with paper, felt, fabric and wood. Students will create Teacup Pets Drawing/Collage, Adorable Awards Badges, Draw-Then-Sew Cute Kawaii Stuffies, and so much more. Teaching Artist: Eileen Plichta

Creative Collage -Dive into the exciting world of collage, where anything goes! This class is all about cutting, pasting, painting, and creating unique works of art using an amazing variety of materials. We'll go beyond just paper and glue, incorporating paint, drawing materials, found objects, recycled items, and photography to build rich, layered compositions. You'll learn techniques like effective layering, creating texture, and using color and imagery to tell a story. Come explore, experiment, and turn the unexpected into meaningful masterpieces!

Wimmelbilder and Comics: Drawing the Busy World -What secrets are hiding in your drawings? Wimmelbilder: Drawing the Busy World is all about creating incredibly detailed, crowded, and imaginative scenes that tell a thousand stories! Inspired by classic European picture books, campers will learn techniques to fill every corner of their paper with funny characters, tiny objects, overlapping buildings, and hidden visual jokes. We will focus on planning big scenes, adding tons of mini-narratives, and developing the patience needed to craft a beautiful and complex "busy picture" that viewers can explore again and again. Get ready to draw your own vibrant, action-packed world!

Magical Magicians! -Unleash your inner magician in this exciting class. We'll discover the secrets of amazing magic tricks that can be performed with ordinary household items.
